Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Substance Health LLC (“Substance Health,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit trysubstance.com, purchase products, sign up for communications, or contact us. Shopify hosts our online store. This policy applies to our website and related customer interactions, except where another notice is provided.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, telephone number, order history, account and subscription details, preferences, communications with us, and return or support requests. Checkout payment providers process payment-card information; we generally receive payment status and limited transaction details rather than full card numbers. We may also collect device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, referral information, browsing behavior, and cookie or similar identifiers through our website and service providers.

How we obtain information

We receive information directly from you when you place orders, subscribe, create an account, complete a form, or contact us; automatically through site technologies; and from service providers involved in commerce, advertising, customer communications, fraud prevention, and order delivery.

How we use information

We use personal information to process payments and orders; arrange shipping and returns; manage recurring subscriptions; communicate about purchases and service requests; provide customer support; maintain and secure the website; detect fraud; keep records; comply with legal obligations; and, where permitted, analyze and improve our products and services. We may also send marketing communications or measure and personalize advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law.

Subscriptions and customer communications

When you select Subscribe & Save, necessary information is used by our subscription platform and payment processors to manage recurring orders, payments, scheduling, and cancellation requests. We may use email and marketing platforms, including Klaviyo, to send promotional messages where legally permitted. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails through the unsubscribe link in a message. Transactional and service messages may still be sent where necessary.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for essential site functions, shopping-cart operation, preferences, analytics, and advertising measurement or personalization. Depending on your location and our enabled integrations, these technologies may involve advertising or analytics providers. Available privacy and cookie controls, including any cookie banner or preference settings, should be used to manage optional technologies where offered. Browser settings may also restrict cookies, but some website features may not function as expected. We honor legally required opt-out mechanisms where applicable.

When we share information

We may disclose necessary personal information to Shopify and other vendors providing payment processing, subscription management (including Recharge), fulfillment and delivery, website hosting, analytics, marketing communications (including Klaviyo), fraud prevention, customer support, and professional services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction such as a sale or reorganization, subject to applicable requirements. We do not sell customer contact lists for cash. Some advertising and analytics disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws even when no money is exchanged; applicable opt-out rights are addressed below.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on your state or country and the law that applies to us, you may be able to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related uses or disclosures. You may also have a right to appeal a denied request. To make a request, email customers@trysubstance.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests where the law allows. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. We will respond within applicable legal timeframes and explain if an exception applies.

California and other U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of California and other states may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, subject to eligibility thresholds and exceptions. These may include the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. If our use of information constitutes a regulated sale or sharing, we will provide legally required notices and opt-out mechanisms, including for applicable browser-based signals. To request assistance with these rights, email customers@trysubstance.com. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 in circumstances prohibited by applicable law.

Information retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, fulfill orders and subscriptions, address customer requests, comply with tax and accounting requirements, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet other legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the information and reason for collection. When no longer required, information is deleted, anonymized, or securely retained where legally necessary.

Information security

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical measures intended to protect personal information and rely on service providers for security measures within their systems. No online method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Please avoid emailing full payment-card details, passwords, or highly sensitive personal information.

International processing

Our business and service providers may process or store personal information in the United States and other countries. Where international privacy law requires safeguards for cross-border transfers, we or our providers will use applicable legal transfer mechanisms.

Children's privacy

Our website and dietary supplements are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the website. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites or services with separate privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our systems, services, or legal obligations. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when legally required.
